Once a process for delivering products, subsequently a strategy for facilitating sales, 'marketing' as we should know it today, has changed - dramatically. People are looking for advice, support, solutions that resonate with them, intuitively, as authentic and meaningful. These may be solutions related to their financial concerns, or social concerns - they may want help deciding how to make money, save money, spend money, or how to give money to a bona fide cause.
